Our most significant impacts on the environment are from:
- The energy we use at our head offices in London, for lighting, cooling and power;
- The materials we use in our offices, particularly stationery and catering; and
- The waste materials that we dispose of.
Our Commitment:
It is Intuition IT Solutions’ policy to ensure that all aspects of the business have the least harmful effect on the environment by implementing an environmental management system to:
- Be aware of all environmental legislation and ensure that regulatory requirements are met and, where feasible, improved upon.
- Ensure all employees, are aware and sensitive to environmental issues.
- Invest in clean technologies, fuel-efficient vehicles and construct sustainable waste management facilities.
- Encourage suppliers, contractors to act in accordance with our environmental standards.
In addition, areas of particular attention within the business will be the selection of non-polluting technology, waste minimisation, reuse/recycling and the reduction of energy consumption.
This commitment will require the continuous improvement of our operational methods and working practices, including the adoption of sustainable waste management systems.
We are driven by our ambition to follow industry best practice in all that we do.
Our operations are primarily office-based – however, we have a responsibility to minimise our impacts where practicable. Sound environmental management and prudent use of resources fits within the remit set for us by the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 as it supports one of the principles of good regulation – to make the most efficient and economic use of resources
